Re-tree Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – At Phil Moore Park, the Warren County Conservation District gave out seedlings to Warren County residents.

Emily Sharp, chairman of the division, said every spring they give out around 3,000 saplings at the start of spring to help keep the county green. This year is even more special being that SoKy has had a lot of inclement weather over the past year and a half.

Sharp said the best time to plant new trees would be fall to spring, and when asked about the increase in weather activity, Sharp said they would consider giveaways in the fall as well.

The chairman also encouraged everyone to follow the Warren County Conservation District on Facebook to keep up to date with new information.
