Sen. Rand Paul visits The Foundry in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Senator Rand Paul returned home to Bowling Green and visited The Foundry Thursday morning as pre-school students returned to school.
The Foundry is a Christian learning center for kids ages three through five years old, and this week the students are returning to class after fall break.
The senator and Foundry director, Terry Daniels, talked about the importance of The Foundry and what it does to help educate kids in the community.
“We can really make an impact on the students, on their families, as well as the west end”, Daniels said.
Both stressed the COVID protocols that the school is taking. All teachers are wearing masks, Daniels said the teachers were given clear masks so the kids can see their smiles.
“This really is a community effort,” said Sen. Paul. “There are a lot of people, a lot of churches involved in this, and I think it’s exciting to be here and learn what’s going on.”
