Purse snatcher turns out to be murder suspect
(KHQ) A Good Samaritan who chased down a purse snatcher later learned the man was also a suspected killer.
Jason Wright was grocery shopping in Spokane, Washington Tuesday when he saw a man snatch a woman’s purse and then run out of the store.
Without thinking, Jason dropped everything and took off after him. The man threw the purse in the air before getting into a car and taking off.
When deputies responded to the attempted theft of the purse, the suspect matched the general description of 28-year-old Joseph Scheel, who was later arrested and charged in connection to a homicide at a Spokane apartment complex.
Scheel is now facing first degree murder charges, and has a bond set at $100,000.
