Pulaski County woman sentenced for armed drug trafficking

LONDON, Ky. – A Pulaski County woman was sentenced Thursday to 60 months for drug trafficking and gun possession.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, a plea agreement states 41-year-old Vicki Allred of Science Hill possessed over 50 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it.
Officials say during a search warrant execution at Allred’s home and a trailer, law enforcement located over 280 grams of methamphetamine packaged in distribution quantities, additional plastic bags and digital scales.
The attorney’s office states it also found two bags of methamphetamine, a pistol, a loaded magazine, four sets of digital scales, a rifle, four loaded AR magazines and a shotgun with ammunition.
Officials say Allred admitted she possessed the firearms to “protect herself from the dangers associated with drug trafficking.”
Allred must serve 85% of her prison sentence, officials say. Upon release from prison, she will be under supervision by the U.S. Probation Office for four years.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI.
