Precautionary boil water advisory issued in Logan county

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. –  Due to a water main break, East Logan Water District has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the following areas:

  • 2575 to 5152 Bowling Green Road
  • Morton Road
  • All of Stonewall Subdivision
  • Oak Hill
  • Cornerstone Place
  • Malone Road
  • Sweatt Lane
  • Rock Lane
  • Mud River Church Road
  • Mud River Road
  • Pool Road
  • Rockcastle Church Road
East Logan Water District advises to heat water in a pot until bubbles travel from the bottom of the pot to the top, let water reach a rolling boil and allow it to boil for one minute.
According to the water district, after water samples are collected and the water is deemed safe, additional notices will be sent out notifying when the advisory has been lifted.
