Powerful photo captures Glasgow police officer kneeling with Black Lives Matter protester

GLASGOW, Ky.- On Tuesday evening, dozens of protesters gathered for a peaceful Black Lives Matter vigil in front of the Barren County Courthouse in Glasgow and a powerful image has emerged from the event.

The image, captured by Tompkinsville resident Jasmine Hamilton, shows Glasgow police officer Wesley Hicks taking a knee next to one of the vigil attendees while the two are holding hands.

According to Hamilton, Hicks and the woman took the time to say a prayer during the protest.
