Possible cause of menopausal fatigue found
A new study has found a link between fatigue and abnormal bleeding for women transitioning to menopause. About 33 percent of premenopausal and perimenopausal women experience heavy or prolonged bleeding. Those who have experienced three or more episodes of it within a six-month period are more likely to feel fatigued. That’s according to the report published Wednesday in the journal, “Menopause.” The study found that women who experienced at least three episodes of heavy menstrual bleeding in the prior six months were 62 percent more likely to feel tired. They were also 44 percent more likely to feel worn out.
