Positive COVID-19 cases increase in Warren County, but remain same in other south central Kentucky counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 increased in Warren County on Tuesday, but remained unchanged in several other counties in south central Kentucky.

According to the Barren River District Health Dept., as of Tuesday night, Warren County has 16 positive cases. The number grew by three from Monday.

The following other counties have positive cases, but reported no increase between Monday and Tuesday:

Simpson County: 9
Logan County: 3
Allen County: 2
Edmonson County: 2
Butler County: 1
Barren County: 1
So far, six people have recovered in the area, according to the health department.
On Tuesday, Kentucky saw its largest increase in number of tests to come back positive with 114. There are now nearly 600 positive cases in the state.
Meanwhile, Gov. Andy Beshear also reported seven new coronavirus-related deaths in Kentucky, most of whom were seniors with underlying conditions. 18 people in the state have now lost their lives due to COVID-19,
