Positive coronavirus cases rise in Warren, Simpson and Edmonson Counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Barren River District Health Department said positive cases of the coronavirus went up in Warren, Simpson and Edmonson Counties on Wednesday.

As of Wednesday night, Warren County had 17 positive cases, Simpson had 12 and Edmonson had five.

There were no new cases reported in Barren, Butler, Allen or Logan Counties.

According to Gov. Andy Beshear, Kentucky now has 687 positive cases, an increase of 93 new cases since Tuesday.

Beshear also said 20 Kentuckians have now died due to the virus.

The governor announced on Wednesday that more than 10,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered around the state.
