Update: Police search for missing teen ends, teen found
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A teen who had been missing since Sunday has been found, according to his father.
Chaz Werner Rose, 17, had been last seen riding a fluorescent green bike in downtown Bowling Green until he was found earlier today.
Rose told WNKY’s Matthew White just before 1 p.m. his son has been found. WNKY will provide more details as they are made available.
Reported earlier:
“Police are pursuing leads with his friends right now,” BGPD spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said.
His parents Steve Rose and Jeff Werner posted an urgent plea for information about their son on social media.
“He has special needs,” Rose said Monday night. “He’s very vulnerable.”
Rose described his son as the type of teen who is trusting and wants to help others.
Werner Rose has in the past expressed an interest in finding his biological parents, Rose said.
It is out of character for him to stay away from home, Rose said.
Werner Rose doesn’t have a cell phone and didn’t take any belongings with him when he left his State Street home Sunday.
Police do not at this time believe that the teen was abducted, Ward said.
Werner Rose is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds.
Anyone with information about the teen is asked to call police at (270) 393-4000.
