Police search for clues in home invasion robbery
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police are investigating a July 13 home invasion robbery in which thousands of dollars in jewelry was stolen.
Just after 10:30 a.m. July 13, three men pretending to be delivery drivers knocked on the door of a Bowling Green residence/home office. An employee who was working in the office answered the door and was met by a man who produced a gun.
The employee was knocked to the ground and tied up. The employee received extensive injuries during the attack.
While the employee was being watched, one man disabled the security cameras and the other began searching the house for a large safe. Once the safe was located two of the men used a moving dolly to remove the safe and load it into an awaiting van.
The safe contained a large antique jewelry collection consisting of hundreds of pieces valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Some of these pieces are unique and easily recognizable.
If you recognize any of these pieces of jewelry, the suspects or the van, call police at 270-393-4000. The family is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest of this team.
