Police recover weapon and drugs during traffic stop in Glasgow
GLASGOW, Ky.- A Glasgow man is behind bars after police say they found him in possession of a weapon and various narcotics.
During a traffic stop on Friday on Waterford Lane, Glasgow police say they located marijuana, suspected cocaine, Xanax bars, oxycodone and a 9 mm handgun.
Police say the driver had attempted to remove some of the items from his pockets in an attempt to throw them on to the ground.
The driver was identified as Glasgow resident, Tyler Allen, 28.
Allen was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was also charged with numerous drug possession offenses.
Allen is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
