UPDATE: Teenager suffers gunshot wound, police investigating

According to Bowling Green police, the shooting occurred at 11 p.m.

Officers said they located a 17-year-old male victim who had a gunshot wound to his leg. The teenager was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

According to police, the victim told them he was visiting friends at the apartment complex. The victim said when he left the apartment with two adult friends, he was shot. The victim alleges he was shot by an unknown person.

The investigation continues.
