Police investigate reported property damage at Kentucky Kids on the Block

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local nonprofit is seeking answers after an alleged case of property damage.

According to a report, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to Kentucky Kids on the Block at 958 Collett Ave. for a delayed report of an unknown person spray painting a mailbox.

Authorities say the caller stated surveillance video shows four unidentified individuals walking down Kenton Street around 3 a.m. on Jan. 1.

In addition, police say the caller stated the footage shows the group walk down Collett Avenue before two individuals walk closer to the nonprofit’s building.

Police say the caller stated one person can be seen walking up to the “vicinity of” the mailbox before walking away and rejoining the others.

Authorities say the caller stated the staff returned to work on Jan. 2 and saw the mailbox had been spray painted.

According to authorities, it is not possible to see the faces of the subjects mentioned in the report.

In addition, authorities say the caller described two individuals as wearing black, while two others were wearing brown.

Police say the individual that approached the building is described as wearing brown.
