Police arrest Allen County man after pursuit with stolen motorcycle

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- The driver of a stolen motorcycle is behind bars following a chase with a Kentucky State Police trooper.

It happened Wednesday night on Durham Springs Rd. in Allen County.

According to KSP, a trooper noticed Steven Hammock, 30, driving recklessly.

When the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, police said Hammock fled.

Hammock eventually lost control of the bike and ran. He was then apprehended.

Police learned the Suzuki motorcycle was reported stolen out of Macon County, Tennessee.

Hammock is charged with numerous crimes, including receiving stolen property and fleeing or evading police.

He’s being held in the Allen County Detention Center.
