Plano Elementary named Leader in Me Legacy School
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County school is celebrating a distinguished honor, one that’s 14 years in the making.
On Tuesday, Plano Elementary was named a Leader in Me Legacy School.
The school’s Leader in Me journey began in 2010, and earning the Legacy status means that student and staff exemplify the Leader in Me habits.
The student-led initiative includes soft skills competitions, student ambassador led tours throughout the school and goal setting.
Plano Elementary principal Ben Frasier says, “When we see students leave here, not just with the ability to perform well on a test, but the ability to speak for themselves, to hold a conversation with adults, to look you in the eye and shake your hand, those are skills that they live with. And to me, that’s invaluable.”
A fun fact – a notable Plano Elementary and Leader in Me alum is current Miss Kentucky Mallory Hudson.
