Pill showing promise to help youth quit vaping

A pill is showing promise to help young adults quit vaping. A clinical trial at Mass General Brigham found a drug already approved by the FDA for adults, also helps teens and 20 somethings.

Patients who took the drug varenicline were three times more likely to quit than those who received behavioral counseling.
Like smoking, vaping is associated with nicotine addiction, pulmonary inflammation and heavy metal exposure.
