Pentagon Announces Transgender People May Enlist Next Year
On Monday, Pentagon officials reported to the Associated Press that transgender people will be able to enlist in the military on the first of the year, despite the President’s opposition.
This comes after Trump’s ordered ban suffers more legal setbacks, including three federal courts ruling against it, the latest one on Monday.
Potential transgender recruits will have to overcome a lengthy and strict set of physical, medical, and mental conditions that could still make it difficult to enlist.
