Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian incident on I-65 on Tuesday morning.
KSP Public Affairs Officer Trooper Bryan Washer says I-65 southbound was shut down for several hours at the 100-mile marker just past Joe Prather Highway due to the accident.
Trp. Washer confirmed to WNKY News 40 that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
All lanes of Interstate 65 have reopened as of 7:40 am this morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
