Pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle in Barren County

Authorities in Barren County say a person is dead after being struck by a vehicle.

According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 1:15 this afternoon on new Bowling Green Road.

Deputies say the pedestrian, whose name has not yet been released, was dead on the scene. No one else was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
