Pedestrian killed in Harlan County collision
HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision.
According to KSP, troopers responded to U.S. 119 along Sukey Ridge just outside Harlan Thursday evening to a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash.
KSP’s preliminary investigation indicates that a man was struck by a vehicle and the vehicle left the scene.
The vehicle and its operator were later located near the Intermount Apartments.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
