Owensboro man charged with possession of child sexual abuse material

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. – One Owensboro man is facing charges after police say he possessed child sexual abuse material following an investigation.

The Owensboro Police Department says 46-year-old Joey Rust was arrested Thursday as the result of an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation that was reported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Detectives executed a search warrant at his residence in the 600 block of Pennbrooke Avenue.

He now faces four counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under the age od 12.

Rust is lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
