Over 1 million Uncrustables donated to Boys & Girls Clubs, including in Scottsville, Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The J.M. Smucker Co. is helping to ensure children have access to over 1 million sandwiches.
According to The J.M. Smucker Co., thanks to a generous donation from the company, that number of sandwiches is heading to Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.
These include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bowling Green and Scottsville, according to the release.
“The best part of our job is seeing the joy Uncrustables® frozen sandwiches bring fans, and the chance to put a smile on the faces of children all across the country is truly humbling,” said Chris Achenbach, marketing director at The J.M. Smucker Co. “We appreciate the opportunity to play a cool role in supporting the amazing work of local clubs to ensure kids and teens have access to meals and snacks.”
The donation is possible thanks to a partnership between Uncrustables® and local foodbanks, along with assistance from Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland Foodbank.
The release says this time of year, there is an increased need and higher issues around food insecurity.
The distribution of Uncrustables® was generously donated by Jarrett Logistics, the release says, a logistics company headquartered in Orrville, Ohio.
According to the release, more than 5,500 Boys & Girls Clubs across the United States serve over 4 million children annually while focusing on after-school programs, mentorships and guidance, academic support, healthy lifestyles and workforce readiness.
