One in 15 Americans has personally been at the scene of a mass shooting. Research by the University of Colorado-Boulder showed that younger Americans, especially Gen Z, are much more likely to have witnessed gun violence than their parents or grandparents.  The study’s authors call them the “mass shooting generation”.
