Ohio County resident arrested, charged with possession of illegal substance

CROMWELL, Ky. – Ohio County officials found an abundance of substances after conducting a traffic stop, police said.
Ohio County Sheriff’s Department deputies say they were running traffic stops near the intersection of U.S. Highway 231 South and Fire Tower Loop in Beaver Dam on May 9 at approximately 8:25 p.m. During this time, authorities say they found passenger Rebecca Elliot of McHenry in possession of suspected illegal substances.
Deputies say they located suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and an assortment of prescription narcotic medications.
Elliot was arrested and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. She is no longer listed as an active inmate on the Ohio County Detention Center’s website.
Elliot is charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances 1st degree offense (meth), possession of controlled substances 1st degree offense (hydrocodone), prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first degree offense, possession of controlled substances, second degree offense (drug unspecified) and possession of controlled substances, third degree offense (drug unspecified).
