UPDATE: 2 arrested in Scottsville Square shots fired incident

UPDATE (March 19, 2025): The Scottsville Police Department and the Allen County Sheriff’s office investigated an incident involving a BB gun Thursday evening.

The investigation says a juvenile exited a vehicle driven by Donna M. Spengler, 42, of Scottsville, and fired a BB gun multiple times at the victims, who suffered minor injuries.

Spengler is charged with unlawful transaction with a minor third-degree.

The juvenile is charged with second-degree assault and was lodged at the Warren County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.

SCOTTSVILLE, KY – Police in Scottsville respond to a report of shots fired at the Scottsville square.

According to Chief Darren Tabor with the Scottsville Police Department, officers responded to the square for a report of shots fired and a fight. At the square officers located two injured people who refused medical transport. A preliminary investigation determined the weapon used was a BB gun instead of an actual firearm.

The incident is believed to be an isolated issue with no additional danger being posed to citizens in Scottsville.

The investigation remains ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
