Norton Children’s Hospital has Christmas photoshoot for NICU babies

LOUISVILLE Ky. – Norton Children’s Hospital spent part of its week spreading some holiday cheer.

The NICU nurses volunteered their time to provide a Christmas photoshoot for the babies and their families.

The staff put up Christmas decorations and dressed the babies up in Christmas themed outfits for a festive setting.

Anngela Barton, one of the nurses who taking pictures, said that “ just helping them bring a little bit of Christmas to them, um, because everybody goes and gets Christmas photos done and they do like, you know, Christmas minis and stuff, and so that gives them a chance to also have a Christmas card or pictures to give their family that can’t come up here to see them because not many visitors are allowed.”

The nurses also said they wanted a way to give those families as close to a normal Christmas as possible since they aren’t able to take the babies home at this time.
