NHRA Wally Parks Nostalgia Nationals comes to Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The National Hot Rod Association returns to Bowling Green June 15-17.
This marks the return to Beech Bend Raceway for one of the NHRA’s biggest events of the year.
On Day 1, qualifying and exhibition runs take place along with a Show ‘N Shine car show. Day 2 features time trials and more qualifying sessions, while the 3rd day features elimination rounds and the finals.
The NHRA is excited to return to one of the most prominent drag strips in the US for their biggest Nostalgia event of the year.
“Oh, it’s fantastic. It’s not only one of the most historic tracks in the state of Kentucky. It’s one of the most historic drag strips in the nation. It is the perfect venue for this event. We have a massive car show. The grounds here are beautiful. There’s all kinds of stuff for families to do. But the covered grandstands, the way the grass is manicured… this is a total throwback to what drag racing was back in the day,” Brian Lohnes, the voice of the NHRA on Fox says.
The racing continues into the weekend, and is sure to contain fun for the whole family.
The racing will be shown on FS1 for those who can’t make it to Beech Bend.
