New work of art to be installed in front of SKyPAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center will soon be home to the newest work of a world renowned artist.

The Public Arts Project was announced today in front of SKyPAC, where Bowling Green native Russ Faxon’s bronze sculpture will be installed.

Faxon’s sculpture will be the first of many public displays of art in Warren County.

Faxon came up with many designs for the public art committee to choose from.

“And the one they chose is, I think, one of the most creative of the designs that I’ve got,” Faxon said. “And it is most reflective of what the arts are.”

The Public Arts Project is a new initiative from the Arts of Southern Kentucky Committee to engage regional artists, display public works and welcome visitors to our community.
