New United States Citizens Naturalized at Mammoth Cave National Park
MAMMOTH CAVE, KY.- More than 25 different people from 12 different countries became American citizens, uniting the nations at Mammoth Cave National Park, and emotions were high.
Paurine Mukeashi, a new United States Citizen says, “I don’t know how to express my feelings. I’ve been a refugee since I was born, so this is my first time being a citizen, there’s nothing I can say about it, but God bless America.”
This is just the beginning of their joyous journeys and everyone who experienced the nationalization entered and left fulfilled.
Barclay Trimble, the superintendent at Mammoth Cave National Park says, “I was talking to the judge as we were going down today and he says it’s one of the highlights of his, because it’s the one time everybody leaves his court happy.”
There was excitement from the U.S. citizens and Mammoth Cave staff, because they can begin the journey with the new citizens.
“It is just part of the story that they’re going to have, you know, starting here and just being able to share this for generations to come.”
