New traffic signals coming to highway in Smiths Grove

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – Travelers passing through Smiths Grove may notice some new traffic signals starting Tuesday, June 18.

The brand new signals located on KY 101 at Interstate 65 in Smiths Grove will be operational starting tomorrow morning, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3.

Signals are expected to switch on around 9 a.m., transportation officials say.

Motorists should use caution as they adjust to the new signals.

In addition, motorists should be aware of ongoing construction near Buc-ee’s, including widening of northbound and southbound ramps at the Exit 38 interchange, additional lane construction and a roundabout on KY 101 to serve side streets.

Construction crews will continue to work in the area. Please drive carefully when passing near crews.
