New program launched in Kentucky to notify loved ones of emergencies
FRANKFORT, Ky- On Thursday, Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, announced the launch of a program that will be used to notify loved ones if someone they know has been in a vehicle crash or another emergency situation.
The program is called, Emergency Notice.
Emergency Notice is an online-based contact registry that law enforcement will utilize in the event someone with a Kentucky driver’s license, personal ID or permit cardholder is involved in an emergency.
To access the program, Kentucky residents can visit drive.ky.gov and submit an emergency contact’s information, such as, name, relationship and phone number.
Residents can also sign up by visiting a county circuit clerk’s office.
