New Nova Steel location expected to create 110 new jobs

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Nova Steel is opening a new location in the Bowling Green Transpark.

The steel processing company is investing $70 million in the project and will create 110 jobs.

The company manufactures products that are used in automotive, construction, mining, agriculture and transportation businesses.

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce says the company chose Bowling Green because of the city’s strong business climate and proximity to their customer audience.

Tom Stearns, corporate vice president, said the community also had a role in the decision.

“I love the state of Kentucky. It’s a beautiful state I mean but the people are so friendly and it’s got a great community feel to it. And we’re just excited. This is a whole new chapter for us, and we just can’t wait to get going,” said Stearns.

Stearns said they are expected to have production for the company going by the end of 2021.
