New Glasgow football facility in the works

GLASGOW Ky.-Glasgow High School is in the process of building a new football facility.

This 3.5-million-dollar project will include a new weight room, locker room, and new bleachers, all of which will be right outside of the high school.

A groundbreaking was held in November.

Glasgow Independent School District Director of Pupil Personnel and Facilities Coordinator Chad Muhlenkamp said he can’t wait to see the end result.

“I think one of the great things is one, the fieldhouse area for the athletes to be able to have that locker room out here, but then also, the fan experience that’ll be created with the new bleachers. We’ll have an all new experience for the fans with the bleachers and the environment that we created,” Muhlenkamp said.

Depending on weather, the new facility is expected to be fully operational by mid-June.
