Dog Park at Jim Roberts Community Park officially open to public
FRANKLIN, Ky. – A ribbon cutting ceremony on June 11 launched a new dog park for the local community.
Several locals attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. The event provided attendees with treats for humans and non-humans.
The dog park will be opened during community park hours from 6:30 a.m. to dusk. It is located at Jim Roberts Community Park on Kenneth Utley Drive.
Franklin Parks and Recreation, Franklin-Simpson KY Chamber of Commerce and Simpson Count KY Gov sponsored the opening of the dog park.
It is in addition to five basketball courts, two tennis courts, three pickleball courts, 10 baseball fields and four playgrounds at Jim Roberts. For more information visit the Franklin-Simpson Parks and Recreation website
