New Cumberland Trace celebrated with ribbon cutting

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Before the first day of school is here, staff and students from a specific Warren County School celebrated a new beginning.

A ribbon cutting was held at the new Cumberland Trace Elementary, part of the Warren County Public school system.

Throughout the evening, various attendees spoke, including Warren County School District superintendent Rob Clayton, and Cumberland Trace Elementary school principal Wes Cottongim.

After the ribbon cutting, everyone in attendance was encouraged to explore the new school, which includes vibrant artwork, modernized classrooms and a slide.

“It’s been a long time coming, and we put in a lot of work, a lot of time, a lot of sweat to get to this point. A lot of planning, and we’re very fortunate to have what you see tonight,” Cottongim said.

The new Cumberland Trace will welcome students on Aug. 4.
