New alignment on Kentucky 185 opens in Warren County, project ongoing

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Drivers are now traveling on the new alignment on Kentucky 185 in north Warren County.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3, drivers were switched over to the new alignment Wednesday afternoon.

Transportation officials say the new alignment is located east of the old KY 185 corridor near Runner Road, reconnecting south of Kentucky 1320.

KYTC District 3 states the realignment is 1.8 miles long and includes wider travel lanes, a straighter road and better sight distance.

The project is not fully completed. Work is expected to be ongoing until late summer, transportation officials say.

Pruitt Road remains closed until further notice. In addition, an old section of KY 185 that remains has been renumbered to KY 3557.

Drivers should use caution.
