New aircraft mechanic school cuts ribbon at CVG Airport

FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Monday, Gov. Andy Beshear congratulated Epic Flight Academy on the opening of its new aircraft mechanic school at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

According to a release by the governor’s office, the academy held a ribbon cutting for the FAA Part 147 aircraft mechanic school.

Epic Flight Academy also has a location in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and offers students the opportunity to become an FAA-certified airframe and powerplant aviation mechanic in the aerospace industry.

The flight academy consists of 10 classrooms, a library, a cafeteria and private offices. The program lasts about 18 months.

Epic broke ground on the over-32,000-square-foot building in April 2023 and completed the construction this month.
