Nelson Co. woman charged after allegedly running illegal daycare

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. – A Nelson County woman is behind bars facing human trafficking charges after deputies say she was running an illegal daycare.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office says Katelyn Rogers, 27, was arrested following a four-month-long investigation for allegedly operating an unlicensed daycare.
Deputies say she now faces a human trafficking charge.
After the Cabinet of Health and Family Services passed along a complaint of abuse from a parent, Nelson County detectives began an investigation.
Deputies say they found that Rogers was scaring another to provide childcare services for free with the threat of kicking her and her child out of the house.
This investigation is ongoing, and News 40 will update you if more information is released.
