Need More Acres Farm accepting eligible moms to receive fresh produce

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Barren County moms can now apply for a fresh produce program.

Need More Acres Farm, a farm based in Scottsville, says it is now accepting FreshRx for MOMs participants in Barren County.

According to a social media post by the farm, eligible moms will receive weekly fresh, local fruits and vegetables for up to 40 weeks for free.

The post states to qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Currently be pregnant (before 32 weeks)
• Live in Allen, Warren, Simpson or Barren counties
• Be enrolled in Medicaid
• Be attending regular prenatal visits (in person or via telemedicine)
