NCM Motorsports Park offers first drifting event in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A first of its kind event took place at the NCM Motorsports Park, allowing drivers to lose control (in a responsible way, of course).

Slyde Factory hosted the first drifting event in Bowling Green on July 15. Drifting allows drivers to lose control of the car for a brief moment, allowing them to slide on the track. You can definitely see it during turns, where drifting is encouraged.

Motorsports Park staff are excited to offer this new experience to Bowling Green and hope the track can host many more in the future.

“Any time we can diversify what we offer Bowling Green and the South Central Kentucky area motorsports in general. It’s a huge improvement for not only our facility but the area as well as motorsport. Partnering with a group like Slyde Factory to come out and bring something unique like this at a motorsports park is super exciting and we look forward to many more events and many different types of events that we can do to really diversify what we offer Bowling Green and the greater area,” Track manager Zachary Rackoven says.

Many different types of cars descended upon the track, including some racers from around the area that wanted to check out the track for the first time.
