National Corvette Museum welcomes the new president

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- The National Corvette Museum held a welcome party Tuesday afternoon for its new president and chief executive officer.

Dr. Sean Preston has been with the Corvette Museum for four months, but Tuesday night was the night where he was officially welcomed to the Corvette family.

The former president and CEO Wendell Strode will officially finish his duties Jan. 1. After that, Preston will fully step in the position to oversee the museum events starting next year.

Preston said there’s a lot in store for the Corvette Museum.

“(Next year) is looking to be a great year for the National Corvette Museum. There are some new exhibits coming our way. We’re going to have a fresh performance gallery opening in March. We’re excited to announce Twinkle at the Track. We’re going to have Christmas lights at the motorsports park starting this month,” Preston said.
