National Corvette Museum to celebrate 30-year anniversary

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The National Corvette Museum is hosting its 30th anniversary celebration on Aug. 31.
The museum announced Generation Radio will also headline its closing concert for the anniversary celebration.
The band features members from Rascal Flatts, Chicago and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
“National Corvette Museum leadership and our Board of Directors wanted to make an impact with the Corvette community and our local community, and our closing concert will hopefully be the perfect end to our 30th Anniversary Celebration,” said Bryce Burklow, National Corvette Museum interim chief operating officer. “Generation Radio’s timeless songs will bring both communities together and create memories that last a lifetime.”
Circus Square Park in downtown Bowling Green will host the concert, with the venue opening at 5:30 p.m.
The opening act begins at 6:30 p.m., and Generation Radio will perform at 8:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to all National Corvette Caravan and Anniversary attendees and the community, the museum says.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and to check the Downtown Bowling Green Parking Guide for more information. Food trucks will be available throughout the venue as well.
According to the museum, Generation Radio is on a mission to bring ’80s rock and classic music back to life.
Two-time Grammy Award-winning writer and producer Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts joins Jason Scheff, long-time lead vocalist and bass player for the multi-platinum band Chicago, alongside Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Steve Ferrone and elite studio musicians and singers Chris Rodriguez and Tom Yankton.
