National Corvette Museum announces expansion campaign
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Big news is coming for fans of America’s sportscar. The National Corvette Museum will soon go through a sizeable expansion.
The expansion will add a two-story, 30,000 square foot addition to the museum. This will come with even more features, including an open theater space, a rooftop members lounge, and a kids zone education center just to name a few.
Staff at the museum say it’s always evolving and having more space to showcase the Corvette and its history is always a good thing. Funds donated to the expansion will be placed into a restricted account that will only go towards the expansion.
Museum development manager Bobbie Lee oversees the fundraising and development for the museum, and she says the staff is revved up for these upgrades.
“Everybody seems so excited, and we’re excited too. We’re excited to give people more, to give more education to the children that visit, to give our members and guests more to look at and enjoy. It’s pretty exciting, not only for the members who are giving already, but especially exciting for our staff and all of our members,” Lee said.
As of now, there is not a set completion date for the expansion.
