Nashville woman charged with reckless driving, drug possession in Adairville

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – A Nashville woman is facing charges following a traffic stop.

According to a release, Adairville Police Department Chief Aaron Ashby conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle crossing the center line and failing to dim headlights on the evening of Saturday, December 20.

Ashby says the driver, Jewel Anne Nichols, 61, of Nashville, Tennessee, showed signs of impairment.

Ashby says Nichols consented to a vehicle search.

During the investigation, Ashby says a black bag containing suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and four glass pipes was located. Ashby says two containers with a crystal-like substance, suspected to be methamphetamine, were also discovered.

Nichols was arrested and lodged at the Logan County Jail.

Nichols is charged with:

• Failure to Dim Headlights

• Reckless Driving

• No Registration Receipt

• Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance/Sec, 1st Offense

• Obstructed Vision And/or Windshield

• Communication Device Violation, 1st Off.

• Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess

• No Registration Plates

• Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Substance (189a.010(1e) – 1st

• Possesson of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)

• Possession of a Controlled Substance Fentanyl
