Nashville man accused of theft in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Nashville man was arrested early Sunday morning in Warren County, accused of stealing a wallet from a vehicle and then running from authorities.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 3:37 a.m. to the theft complaint on Sunnyside Gott Road.

When deputies were searching the area, they say, William Wright, 34, jumped a fence and then immediately fled from authorities.

Wright was later apprehended and authorities say he was in possession of multiple credit cards and IDs belonging to other people.

Through their investigation, deputies believe Wright damaged a vehicle moments earlier and stole a wallet from inside.

Wright was charged with numerous offenses, including, theft by unlawful taking, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.

He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
