Name released of victim in fatal Mount Olivet Road crash

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The identity has been released of the victim of a fatal crash that occurred in Warren County on Tuesday.

According to Warren County sheriff Brett Hightower, the driver that died following the crash has been identified as 40-year-old Jeffrey Mikalonis of Bowling Green.

Hightower says multiple deputies responded to a single-vehicle injury collision with possible entrapment early Tuesday morning.

The crash reportedly happened at the intersection of Mount Olivet Road and Fairview Boiling Springs Road.

Firefighters extracted Mikalonis from the vehicle.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigation shows the vehicle was traveling on Mount Olivet Road toward Fairview Boiling Springs Road when it ran off of the road at a curve.

The vehicle continued and stuck a concrete barrier, authorities say.

Hightower says the driver was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
