Multiple units respond to Glasgow structure fire

GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow firefighters responded to a structure fire early Monday morning.

According to a release by the Glasgow Fire Department, Glasgow units responded around 7:18 a.m. to the 100 block of Grandview Avenue for a structure fire.

The release states upon arrival, units noticed smoke outside of the structure that appeared to be coming from the inside wall and the attic.

According to Glasgow Fire personnel, crews entered the structure, located the fire and extinguished it quickly.

At the same time, fire personnel say they were working on the outside of the structure to search for flame extension.

After the fire was out, fire units used thermal imagers and ventilation to search for additional flame or smoke extension.

Following the investigation, Glasgow fire units cleared the scene. No injuries were reported, according to personnel.

In total, Glasgow units were on scene for around one hour.
