Multiple local county projects to receive agricultural loans

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Multiple local projects are among the recipients of recently approved agricultural loans.

On Friday, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture announced multiple projects in Kentucky have been approved for various agricultural loans, including agricultural infrastructure loans and beginning farmer loans.

According to a release by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, agricultural infrastructure loans have been approved for the following counties:

  • Butler County ($250,000)
  • Calloway County ($58,613 and $250,000)
  • Fulton County ($250,000)

Eligible projects for agricultural infrastructure loans include permanent farm structures with attached equipment that improves the profitability of farming operations.

In addition, the release states beginning farmer loans were approved for the following:

  • Anderson County ($250,000)
  • Grayson County ($74,950)
  • Hardin County ($250,000)
  • Hart County($250,000)
  • Hickman County ($250,000 and $250,000)
  • Logan County ($250,000)
  • Todd County ($250,000)
  • Wayne County ($250,000)

Beginning farmers may qualify for financing to purchase livestock, equipment, or agriculture facilities; to secure permanent working capital; for the purchase of farm real estate, according to the release.

One horticulture incentives loan was also approved in Calloway County, totaling $250,000.
