Motorists can expect lane closures on parts of U.S. 31W
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.– A preventive maintenance project on U.S. 31-W near Interstate 165 from Memphis Junction Road to Storey Avenue in Bowling Green has started. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic delays in the area while the project is underway.
Most of the work is being done at night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. An ultra thin blacktop overlay is being applied to preserve the current pavement in the area. The ultra thin blacktop overlay is one of several pavement preservation methods being used by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to extend the life of pavement.
The project is expected to take about a month to complete.
